Counselors

As a high school or community college counselor, you are on the front lines for students when they're making decisions about beginning college or transferring institutions. The following resources will help you provide information about Wayne State University.

The Winter 2008 installment of the Counselor Newsletter is available! Download the Winter 2008 Newsletter for information on Tours at WSU, Orientation and iStart, and much more.

High School Counselors: Newly admitted freshmen for the fall 2008 semester must attend New Student Orientation and iStart at WSU. New Student Orientation is a one-day program during the summer for students to obtain their university OneCard, meet with an academic adviser, register for classes, and more. The iStart program is a three-day program at the end of August designed to help students get a jump start on their academic career at WSU. For more information, you and your students can visit www.orientation.wayne.edu.

Community College Counselors: Newly admitted transfer students for the fall 2008 semester may be required to attend New Student Orientation at WSU. Orientation sessions are one day and take place during the summer. For more information, please visit www.orientation.wayne.edu.
